Orange Float Blues
I finally had real Vanilla ice cream , not French Vanilla. And I definately had soda on board. I put the two together and tried it out , 'cause it's been so long since I had a float. Where's the magic? The childish glee? I am not happy. As I sit around and take a couple of drinks and bites...I just keep thinking "God , this tastes weird and not in a good way." I don't get it. Something I should adore , I find no joy in. I'm not a big Root Beer drinker in the first place so I didn't take the traditional route. But I usually love Orange soda , ( or at least I used to ) , but lately it seems my obsession for it is dwindling. Is it that I've finally "burnt out" on Orange soda , and so burnt out that I couldn't enjoy the float? Was there something I missed that I could've added to make it better? | | 10:23 am |
My Pullips
The Girls : Alice - Arisu Miyamoto ( noble sort , base of the shrine ) Nah To ( The "Aladdin" doll ) / Jasmine or whatever - Jasmine And I forget the original name of the purple haired doll , then I changed it Lorelei / Lillith , I'm thinking of changing it again. Sigh. The Guys : Original name Serpent Namu , new name - Yukio Watanabe First : "Gets what he wants" / "Snow Child" Last : "Crossing Area" Original name not important , new name - Jun Fujiyama First : "Obedient" Last : "Wisteria Mountain" | | 9:55 am |
The Joy & Sorrow of Having A New Pullip
"Cavalie Taeyang" : The latest addition to my little Pullip group. Hmm , two boys and three girls now. ( I have "Jasmine" the beautiful bellydancer or whatever that reminds me a bit of Princess Jasmine from Aladdin...heck , even Jun Planning advertised her as Aladdin doll or whatever in some ads... ) Great : Man , he looks awesome out of the box. Fancy clothes , long Blonde hair , Purple eyes , total romantic bishounen! Good : Just as I'd hoped , Ken clothes still fit. Bad : Hair smells bad , I dunno what to do about that. Way too tight / plastic boots. I had to cut them in the back and stuff just to get them off him. At some point I somehow managed to ( accidentally of course! ) break off a foot. o.O X_X;;; Does it not occur to Jun Planning that some people may want to easily dress and undress their Pullips? I'm afraid to even attempt to try to put stuff back on him ...his tights seem way too tight ( how the heck did they get 'em on him in the first place?! ) I like men in tight tights but not that tight....ahahaha Certain parts of the doll ( such as ball joints with feet ) apparently weren't glued together well enough and either look kinda bad or parts ( one leg ) are kinda too loose. I know it's partly my fault for wanting to undress him so I can put different outfits on him , but still.... On the upside , if something bad happens to his other foot , then he can wear Bratz Boyz shoes. *sad laugh* Ugly : Having to keep one foot with his stuff because the stupid thing broke off. I guess he can wear Bratz shoes because without a foot it reminds me of a Bratz leg. | | 9:30 am |
The Overuse of Pink
Long rant made short : I usually hate Pink. I'm especially tired of seeing it in anything that's targeted towards / related to females in games and other stuff. I wish there were more non-Pink themed games for girls , non-Pink themed female characters , bedrooms , ect. My favorite color is Black. More Black , please. I also love Blue , Purple , Red , and Gold. | | 9:04 am |
My Views About Oblivion
What I Love About Oblivion : One of the seemingly few games where I can be a knight. Woot. Being covered up appropriately when wearing armor. Unlike some women , I usually don't care if a character is "too sexy" and in fact I actually enjoy it...Not that it should matter but I'm bisexual. So , even though I love the sexy armored babes just as much as a guy , I also like it when I can see that my character is fully armored. Characters treating my character based on her deeds and words , not on the fact that she's female. ( well for the most part ) I can't think of anything that was Pink in this game. Yay. At least two or three queens in the game rule without a king. I can be just as strong and fast as any male character. What I Hate About Oblivion : The stupid default "undies". Unfortunately , I don't have the PC version of Oblivion...yet. And even if I did I fear that it would insist upon not working on my computer... especially given all the other stuff I already have on my hard drive. Some of the females sound like guys when they grunt during battles or whatever. The longer the hair , the more it'll "clip" into your character's backside. Only when you're standing absolutely still or barely moving does it look good from the back. You can't have really really long hair , for some races , such as Khajiit , you are stuck with ugly or short hair. You also get stuck with one color choice for eyes when you play certain races. It'd be nice to be able to see what my Khajiit would look like with long Black hair and Blue eyes. Sometimes it seems that they only added females in as an afterthought. Changing beard and other colors affects the entire skin not just the areas you're trying to change. Eww. It's hard to make a good looking female Redguard for some reason yet not as hard to make a good looking male Redguard. | | Wednesday, September 28th, 2005 | | 4:30 pm |
Arg. Just when it's been a good day too.
You ever have one those days when everything's mostly going your way and then it suddenly starts raining? That's what I'm going through right now. And it seems like it just stopped ...but I'm worried that it might start up again. If it does I hope it doesn't fry anything 'cause I am going to be so pissed if we start having internet problems again , especially if it's because of the / a storm. Any way , it's been a while since I've done chores again so I took care of dishes and stuff today. Thankfully not much to do.... I'm taking a break right now so I'm not really finished yet but if you've been bored enough to read these posts then you should know how I feel about chores. *laughs* Current Mood: worried | | 9:58 am |
Creativity and the blahs
I've been really depressed about not being able to do enough creative things or whatever...felt like I've been in this huge slump or something , like an invisible black hole was sucking the creative energy / enthusiasm out of me. I've been watching Japanese Pop videos lately and stuff , suddenly I started getting some lyrics in my head so I paused the video I was watching at the time and went into my music text documents and started putting 'em down. I don't know how long it'll last but I'm very happy about getting over those crappy anti-creative blahs. Oh , actually....when I was in those "blahs" , I *did* work some on my art but for the most part it was just like "where the hell did my creativity / enthusiasm or whatever for art and stuff go?" *cries , then laughs* I'm half-tired ....urr. But I put mellow 'cause it has a more upbeat icon than "lazy" mood and I *am* laid back. *laughs* It's hard to be downbeat and not get inspired when you're watching silly Japanese Pop videos. *laughs and winks* On the downside , this also means I can't get myself to write anything depressing , ( well...maybe a tiny bit depressing but not a whole lot).... Just sappy stuff. Like , love songs and stuff you'd probably write after a sugar high. *laughs and sighs* I feel more like drawing now too and stuff....but I'll hold off on the drawing. I wish I had more clay and one of those ovens needed for polymore or whatever the hell it's called..clay.....I wanna play with clay. Yeah. *laughs* I have these molds and everything , but I still need another oven and to have it be somewhere like in a garage or something 'cause the instructions warned against using clay in a microwave you heat up food in. I don't wanna risk whatever it is they're worried about. *laughs* Arg...I'm a little annoyed....my tummy has been bothering me. I just ate some of those great Alka-Mints and I feel a little better already. Any way , my favorite Japanese Pop band so far out of the collection I've got now - EE Jump. They are so funny. "Happa Tai - Yatta!" was really funny too. I've got quite a bit more video-less Anime music now and stuff. Thank you Chibi No Choco , Nin-ham's Realm / Ham Ham Kingdom , and Choco BitTorrents! http://www.chibinochoco.org/http://hamtaro.vicesite.comhttp://www.edkeyes.org/choco/I didn't even know they had made some Hamtaro movies and stuff. Grr , Japan has such cool stuff that we'll most likely never see officially over here. Bah. *laughs* Current Mood: mellowCurrent Music: Nothing | | Friday, September 9th, 2005 | | 11:03 pm |
Arg.
I am so tired yet I want to stay up. *laughs* I hate that. *laughs again* My computer has frozen up two times now right when I was in the middle of stuff. Just because I had alot of windows open. *sighs* Man , I'm hungry. *laughs* I wish I could go back in time and that I had chosen to get more than one box of Milk Coconut Pocky so I'd have some saved up for a day like today / this. I would kill for some right now. *laughs* And Teriyaki Chicken. Or Sloppy Joes. Or just anything that's really good. I am so bad with even stuff that should be simple sometimes. I'd make Mac 'N Cheese but I'm afraid I'd just screw it up again. *laughs* I don't really want to eat that again or Tomato Soup or Chicken Noodle Soup. *goes to get a drink of Sierra Mist* Ahhh , that's better. *laughs* Hmmm...I already raided Brenda and Dad's fridge..... I'm not in the mood for Ramen either. Ugh. I should be washing my dishs right now or something but I don't want to. Even just thinking about it makes me more tired. *laughs* Current Mood: amusedCurrent Music: Creed - What's This Life For | | 6:53 pm |
Music Themed Dolls ( the "electronic paper" kind )
Besides "real" dolls like Pullips and What's Her Faces , I also enjoy "dollz" ...paper dolls...and Kisekae ( aka "eletronic paper dolls" ) . I have started on alot of music themed dolls and have been able to come up with alot of awesome band names and some original solo artist characters , but then I have a hard time coming up with each band member's name and looks....I think about 5 or so out of the - ( what is it..20 or so? ) - bands' have everything pretty much figured out down to the band member names. Arg. Why is it that I can be so creative with names and some things then suddenly get blocked or blank out on other stuff? *sighs* Current Mood: disappointedCurrent Music: Bone Thugs 'N Harmony - Cross Roads | | 6:50 pm |

Sorry about the double post and stuff.
I just noticed one of my posts ended up getting posted twice. But I'm not in the mood to fix it , so , apoligies if that sort of thing annoys you. Ignore the time the Journal gives off....I don't know what the deal is.....it keeps coming up with stuff like "17:17" and crap. And like I stated already , I'm not sure if mine's right either. Meh. Any way , www.eaglette.com as you may have noticed won't work anymore. I don't know why and I am not sure why that was there in the first place. Shouldn't it have been something like elfdolls.net since I was talking about "Elf Dolls"? I have no idea if eaglette is even about eagles or anything , so good luck figuring that one out. If you find anything , please let me know at kara_vortex@yahoo.com Seriously , I can't remember putting that eaglette thing up.... Weird. I hate that. *laughs* "Speaking" of things I hate , just my luck that both snippets and blogger are down for a while. Supposedly the internet problem at our house is really fixed this time. Turned out there was a loose wire/cable. o.O I finally got to taste Pocky for the first time the other day. The most popular / "classic" Pocky wasn't as good as I thought it'd be ( shock! ) ...It tasted more like bitter or dark chocolate rather than milk chocolate and I hate bitter and dark chocolate. I love milk chocolate and white chocolate. The Coconut Milk flavor was just as heavenly as I thought it would be. Now that I have those special wristbands and can do great or ok on trips now , I'll probably be visiting my brother more often. For the confused : I used to get carsick real easy...especially a long time ago. Even though over time it's gotten better , I always dread the actual traveling part of traveling. The wristbands just apply some gentle pressure to a certain part of the wrist...all you do is put two fingers under the crook or whatever of your hand to tell if you've put it on right and have the none-dome side up ( the dome thing or whatever goes on the middle underside of your wrist ) .....makes trips alot easier. This one told my mom that he went on a cruise and he was the only one who didn't get sick. And that's because he was wearing those wristbands. Neat , huh? *laughs* Current Mood: blahCurrent Music: REM - Orange Crush | | 5:20 am |
Meh
Blogger is down for maintaince for awhile. *sighs* I put 5:20 'cause that's what my computer clock is showing. Wow, PM already? I haven't messed with it so has been wrong all this time or what? It's still light outside...wth? I hate that.... What is the deal with putting in music videos that have nothing to do with the movie when it comes to DVDs? ( the kind you can find on ebay in lots ) It's not that I don't like the music or the videos , but sheesh , at least make sense by having music videos that one can relate to the movie or music videos from the actual soundtrack artists or whatever. And worse than that , often / sometimes they don't even bother to give you the name of the song or artist so if you love movies and music , you're screwed over twice 'cause one has nothing or little to do with the other and for the other , they don't even give you the names so you could at least know what the song is called and who sang it. Some other things that tick me off about cheap DVDs is when they don't work at all , when they have few or no special features , only one preview yet they still have it listed under "previews" and only one special feature or bonus....whatever...under "special features" or "bonus features" and things like that. On the upside , cheap DVDs allow you to catch up on a lot of movies you missed out on when they started being available on DVD and stuff....maybe you were too tired or busy that day... But , overall , I'd rather buy the more expensive version because it's usually a better product. Some people just don't get it
Ok , since blogger's being stupid , I'll post here. Recently when going through some things , I found an old PM , ( that's private message in case you didn't know for some reason ) , ' and thought it was kinda funny...even though it was / is a PM , since I obviously never got a reply back from the person I had sent it to , I'm assuming that they don't care about what I have to say and so wouldn't care if I posted this or not. I apoligize to the person if they come across this and disagree or whatever about posting it : "Hello. I'm sorry if this offends you but your post offended me. I put alot of work and thought into that thread and I wouldn't have made it if I thought it was a childish thing to do / have. " A special thread for newbies to post? Huh. Reminds me of those "Ages 1-6 only" playpen things. " 1. That's rude and insensitive. 2. Well , it's not a playpen thing. It's for introducing ourselves and helping each other out , not for playing around but we do that sometimes too. Lots of boards have something like that and it's not a childish thing to do / have since alot of newbies tend to hang out around the forums without really knowing where to go and what to do so instead of doing the smart thing and checking out current threads , ect. before posting , they just go ahead and post. Most boards / board members , including the regulars here / this AGS board , don't like that so in an attempt to get rid of or at least lower that sort of behaviour , people make threads just for the newbies so they can have a place to go to first if they just want to introduce themselves and meet other newbis , ect. "how are you tadai i mme okaaye)" that's not chatspeak..."noobspeak" maybe but not chatspeak. Chatspeak is like "FYI" which means "For Your Information" . I hate the term n00b.... Sorry if you really already knew that but judging from your post it seemed like you really don't know how you should act online and what's the difference between things like chatspeak and other online "languages". Even online , good manners should be put to use. For example , typing in all caps , ( not for shorthand / chatspeak though ) , is considered shouting. There's a big difference between making fun of something 'cause it's funny and making fun of something just to make fun of it." New Pullips Stuff
Arg....the temptation! I am still kinda in that "want to put off buying Pullips so I can improve my collection by getting those dolls and stuff I'm always putting off getting or can't afford 'cause I've been buying Pullips" mode , but with all the cool stuff and cute dolls JP keeps coming out with ....I'm thinking of going back to buying Pullip stuff again. Sigh. Wigs And Stuff
FINALLY found some wigs at a store nearby , there's another Hobby Lobby-like store called Michaels (sp.?) , Mom thinks it's cluttered or something in comparison to HL , anyway ...downside..they didn't have ANY doll eyes... BUT , they did have doll wigs! So , now I have a lovely long Black wig and a curly Blonde wig ( reminds me of Goldilocks ) for Alice. And , since I had bought a bunch of other dolls and doll stuff one time , I have some more clothes for her too..but most of the clothes went to Lorelei. Heh. The wigs fit 11 ½ inch heads and had 29cm on the label too , so if you're interested , that's a size that will work fine for your Pullip. In other news , I'm rather ticked right now 'cause this is like the fifth or so time somebody at a certain board has asked me to update something...I am getting tired of updating that thing...I think it should be thought of as fine the way it is...there's not much more elaboration I could do so I'm quite annoyed about it...I'm thinking of quitting that board due to such stupidity. *sighs* Damn it , just let the thing rest already and let me move on! *growls* Current Mood: some happiness mixed inCurrent Music: Incubus - Drive | | Friday, December 17th, 2004 | | 6:59 pm |
Hmmm
Hopeful , bored , a bit ticked 'cause I suddenly have hiccups , annoyed at myself 'cause I can't keep stuff together....keep wanting to rearrange things and forgetting and crap...ect. Anyway , now that I've seen better pics of Mitzi , I could just kick myself for not getting her ASAP. I have enough money right now to buy her but she's so expensive! As much as I want her , I'm not going to pay that much for a doll. *sighs* Besides , I keep meaning to buy 3D programs like Bryce and Poser but those are expensive too...then again I can't do it...I did find a free program called DAC or something like that but even though it's supposed to be easy I still screw things up...I couldn't do a decent 3D to save my life. *sighs again* So I've thought and rethought about spending all the money I have right now on 3D related things...arg....it's so hard! I am dying to go shopping but I want so much... Those Bratz twins and some other dolls I've seen nowadays are beautiful! I love Fourrer ....well , definately going to change her name but she's gorgeous. JP is coming out or has come out with another movie star looking Pullip again....arg. I still want a bunch of other Pullips too but suddenly Nero and others are not available from ebay anymore and I can't seem to find them anywhere else either. Geeze...
The other day I was visiting my mom and those days were ok , I guess. Well , one day was kinda cool , we went and saw Precious Moments stuff , Princess Diana's (sp.?) dresses and some stuff on other royality / famous people , fountains , ect. Very pretty and some of it was interesting , but geeze it was alot of walking and stuff. Then when I came back home , the first night back I was really depressed , the next day I was feeling a bit better but strangely creative ( usually I only feel creative if I'm depressed and even then I usually work on poetry ) so I worked on some KISS ( electronic paper dolls ) projects. Today I'm feeling crappy and ticked off 'cause of cramps and alot of things seem to be going wrong today. Oh , and my dad brought me flowers and some t-shirts so that kinda makes me feel good too. I have a Precious Moments doll - "children around the world" or whatever - and of course I picked Japan. She's really cute. I'm not a huge PM fan but I like some of their stuff. Since I'm no good with doll stands , ( I hate these things! ) , I asked Mom to get the stupid stand to work and sure enough she had no problems with it. Arg. *laughs* I put my mood as mixed 'cause I'm a little bit depressed , icky , bored , tired , ect. A little bit of just about everything but of course mostly ticked 'cause somebody was like "who are you? what's the meaning of this" in response to a thread I made at this one board I'm a member of. How rude. As far as I can tell they're a new member or something so they have nothing to do with the thread...it was mostly for my old project members ( I can't remember any of their nicks so at the time I had thought it was a good idea to make that post / start that particular thread ) .... ugh , it's another one of those days again. Good luck if you want the eye mechanism to still work afterwards though if you try that size. Nobody has specified yet about taking apart and putting the mechanism back together again for changing eyes. Wigs - 9-10 or whatever....12 probably too big but 11 might work. Vickie" ) Makeup - I know there was something somewhere about what to use if you want to change the "makeup" on the Pullips but I'm too busy right now to check. The Good , The Bad , and The Ugly - Dewigging
Well , it took me a while , but I finally got my Alice dewigged. Good - I'll be able to buy pretty wigs now and will have fun making up different looks for her , yay! I'm hoping she'll forgive me by the time I have some stuff ready once she realizes why I had to do it. Lorelei will be so jealous. Heh. Bad - It was tough for me and may be hard for you. It was alot harder than I thought / hoped it would be. And so far I am not sure how to get rid of the excess hair and glue , plus since I don't have any extra wigs yet there's nothing to do anymore when it comes to Alice. I have taken pics of her by herself , with Lorelei , holding the white rabbit , in and out of her outfit ( heh ) , ect. So until I get wigs and more Alice related products or make some Alice things myself , she'll be in therapy and having a rest period from photo shoots ...plus I would need her permission and forgiveness anyway since the dewigging was traumatizing for her. ( *laughs* ) I've done the really big "oh look I just got Alice!" stuff ...soo...yeah. Ugly - Until she has new wigs , she has to wear a hat or her current wig...of course the wig and makeshift hat aren't ugly but the baldness is. Especially since she still has some hair leftover from the process. And a note for people interested in dewigging - You may or may not have it easier than me. At least one person stated it was easy for her...( all she used was a nail file...not one of the regular nail files you think of but a weird metal thing and her fingers / hands...she worked slowly...maybe I was just too impatient but at the same time that glue seemed to be doing a good job of holding the wig on ) ...however it's also been said that alot of people have problems trying to dewig their Pullips. I know somewhere out there are some other livejournal entries , by other people of course , explaining how they changed the hair on their dolls , but if you don't want scalp your doll but still want to buy wigs or whatever...I tried a butterknife and something metal ( nail file? I'm not sure ) I borrowed from Brenda...one end was kinda flat and the other end was kinda like an arrow to help give you an idea of what sort of metal thing I'm talking about...sorry that I don't know the actual name of it...I hope you can find what I'm thinking of. Anyway the last tool of course are scissors...you may need them to cut off any excess hair. Not all of it of course if you get results like mine ...but as much as you can. I haven't figured out the rest yet but someday I'll post on how to get rid of excess hair ( the stuff that is still stuck in the same areas the leftover glue is ) and leftover glue. ( Hopefully soon because I'm hating the fact that there's any excess glue and hair in the first place. ) |
